This was our first time in Chicago and the location was perfect! The Red Line (we took to get to White Sox and Cubs games) was only 5 blocks or so away and there is a bus stop right at the corner of Michigan Ave and Ontario, making for easy commutes. Kids are 5, 9, & 10 and we ended up walking everywhere except the ballparks (Willis Tower, Navy Pier, Millennium Park) and there are so many restaurant options that are nearby. With the kids, we usually look for hotels with a free continental breakfast but didn’t miss it. The staff were all so helpful and kind during our stay, too!
The gym was clean and quiet (even being right next to the pool), and the cardio equipment and weights were in good condition - better than most hotels that I’ve been at recently. The pool area has several tables and loungers, accommodating about 3 to 4 families at a time.
There are several Walgreens and CVS stores that were convenient for cheap snacks, beverages, and any items you may have forgotten.
The noise of the city doesn’t stop at night-we heard fire engine and police sirens often during the day and night. This didn’t disturb our sleep (on the 22nd floor) since we turn on music for ourselves and kids at nighttime anyway.
