We canceled. The dog fees were not stated in making the reservation and we were told at check--in that the fee was $60. We have a 22-lb. non-allergenic quiet dog. On this cross-country vacation, NO hotel has charged that much! The place was under construction, which was tolerable; however, the hallway lights did not work on our floor. It was dark. There was no maintenance staff on duty and no manager. Upon our insistence, the desk clerk called the manager. He said the dog fees were stated on their website. We didn't look at that, because we booked on Hotels.com. Finally, our reservation was canceled and our money refunded. We directly made a reservation at another hotel for the night. And, last night. I am hesitant to make Hotels.com for the remaining week of our vacation.
