This was an awesome experience here. We knew little about this place before coming here. The location was amazing, and when you pull in from the road, you are presented with the grand looking main facility housing guest check-in, gift shop, and restaurant. Then you will see very unassuming little buildings that look like shacks, which is understandable as this area sees all of the weather first. When you enter these lodges, you are welcomed by a very cozy log cabin feel with both electric heat and a wood burning stove. Our unit was a 2 queen beds and a kitchenette style, with plates and pans for use. The us and kids loved the little stuffed orca whale sitting on the well-made beds that were appointed in a true Pacific northwest, tribal log cabin style. There was convenient beach access via stairs from the cabins down the cliff to the beautiful and expansive beach and literally just south of the Tree of Life (which is a must-see as well). This was just meant to be our stop for our trip to the Hall of Mosses but turned into its own experience on its own, I wish we had booked at least two days there. We decided right there that we really want to come back again. The restaurant has a small but good selection of items on the adult and kids menus and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a small convenience store apart from the main building that sells souvenirs, wood for the stoves, and convenience food items like milk and eggs and such. And it is pet friendly as well!
