The hotel is located close to central station (2 blocks), but it is located on a side street. At night can be a bit doggy, especially if you are alone – do not recommend for girls alone! Other than that, the hotel is ok.
Positive points:
. Clean;
. Comfortable bed;
. Complimentary tea and coffee in the room;
. Nice staff, willing to help;
. Free wifi;
. Nice Hollywood décor theme;
. Breakfast was paid separately, but it was a fair price for options and quality served;
Negative points:
. Location is ok – close to central station. The hotel street is a bit doggy at night and did not feel safe to walk alone. Also, city center (restaurants and bar) was not very close – 20 minutes walking distance.;
. Hotel parking is really small and narrow. As we were driving a big car, we could not fit in to the garage and had to park at central station – was ok, but far from ideal;
. Rooms are a bit worn out, but not a big deal;
. Very small bathroom;
. Bad hair dryer;
. For using the safe, we had to pay a deposit and get a key – very old fashion;
. Liquid soap/shampoo only. I don’t get why hotels do not offer actual soap bars and a proper shampoo!
Note: Tours is a bigger city with more restaurant/bar options, but if you are looking for the Loire charm, I recommend to stay in Amboise – much nicer and charming.
