A very quiet place, natural, a bit other-worldly which is suitable for this ancient place. People here were all quiet and respectful. We would have liked to have a shower mat for the floor for stepping out of the shower. Our king bed unit is very small with little space for storing our 2 suitcases. Our king bed was super comfortable. We liked the environmental friendliness, even the waste baskets are metal, not plastic. Large windows looking out over the environment is nice and the deck outside our unit was very nice and relaxing to sit on and enjoy a glass of wine while watching the beautiful sunset. The lounge was a great place to eat dinner, the menu had good options and the food was very good; the bartender did a super job despite being short-staffed and the only person taking orders and making-serving drinks, and there was also a food server who helped clear the tables. Despite this, they kept things flowing well and were very friendly. The restaurant does require reservations and we weren't able to make those in time to eat there by dinner time. But the restaurant hostess was very friendly and as accommodating as possible. WIFI is very spotty, cell service is very poor, due to the remote location. Parking is ample in all areas. The Fairview Terrace cafe and Spruce House cafe don't offer a large variety of foods, but the servers are very friendly, food was good, the young woman making our omelets was very friendly, organized, and attentive to details.
