I've stayed at this hotel at least five times. Most of the times were painless and fine, but this time was a bit different. First, while the front desk is usually quick, painless, and friendly, during this visit the girl was super slow to get me checked in after my long drive in bad weather. After my arrival, she called someone on the phone to try to find out how to give someone else a receipt. It wasn't a huge deal, but I felt very unimportant having to wait for her to get through her phone call.
Then, from around 10 pm until 12:15 pm, some kid in the room next door screamed and cried like he was being tortured, and after hours of noise, I finally called the front desk to find out if I could get a different room. The front desk receptionist was super friendly and quickly got me a key to a different room. He learned after calling the room with the screaming kid that the boy was throwing a hissy fit because the pool is closed, and he wanted to keep swimming. I could have never gotten away with poor behavior like that when I was a child. At least I was moved quickly to a different room. The receptionist had a key waiting for me.
