What I Liked:
• The property is in a decent location: 70 minutes’ drive to Aspen and 15 minutes’ drive to Glenwood Springs.
• Breakfast was standard: eggs, pancakes, sausages, cereals, coffee, and juice.
• Plenty of parking space available.
What I Didn’t Like:
• There’s no elevator, so I had to carry all my luggage to the first floor, which was inconvenient.
• The evening front desk staff (who claimed to be the property owner) argued with me when I mentioned that the heating system wasn’t sufficient. He said, “It’s not so cold that you need a heating system,” and claimed there was no heating in the common area yet it was still warm. After I stressed why he said that he started denying that he did not say that statement. He even pointed that he is only wearing shirt and it’s not so cold. I found his comments dismissive.
• I complained after two hours because the floor and bedsheets were still ice cold. Eventually, I was provided with a portable heater, which I appreciated, and the heating was fine afterward.
It’s a 30 degree outside man!!
The 10-minute argument made me consider leaving the hotel, but since he eventually toned down, I decided to stay.
Overall: hotel is good. But giving 2 star for staff behaviour. He looked like he recently joined and behaved immaturely. Handyman who gave the portable heater was humble and polite. Really appreciate his help.
