Our room was clean. However, It took 15 minutes to get hot water. Didn’t matter the time of day. We need hot water to was our hands properly, shower, proper hygiene. Bathroom sink took 8 plus minutes to drain. Had to wait for it to drain after brushing my teeth and then use my Clorox wipes to disinfect for my husband to use the sink. And then wait 8 plus minutes for it to drain again. The manager finally put us in another building. There are 3 employees that were welcoming. The other employees are quite unfriendly and as they sit in the room by the front desk we always got the feeling we were bothering them . One even commented when we had told her about no hot water in the afternoon and we needed to shower “who showers in the afternoon “! And when asking for clean towels or toilet paper or shampoo… it felt like we were a bother. Carter is an amazing employee. Always kind, willing to help, thoughtful, and get whatever was asked for with kindness. When he worked there was always hot coffee and iced tea and chocolate chip cookies. On many of the evenings that he did not work forget it. The employee on the desk did not replenish. There was a large group of teenagers there. Sadly only 2 were polite. Breakfast was rough. We feel because it is a dated motel simple upgrades would help. Higher toilet seats, checking the drains in sinks, making sure there is hot water, and checking smoke detectors. We would stay there again. The facility needs a better plan for troubleshooting.
