Despite not being able to make the trip because I was planning an unexpected funeral, and having stayed there many times for lacrosse tournaments over the past 20 years, this hotel would not honor a refund when our family was not able to make the trip. Hotels.com informed me that they canceled the room ahead of time, but they only canceled one room, not both, so one of the nights looked like I was a no-show, which is not the case. This is not the hotel's busy season. One would think they would not want to lose a long-time customer over $200. Whatever the rules are, they should have been more understanding.
