Expedia blamed the hotel and the hotel blamed Expedia. I never got the access code for the main building from the hotel. I tried calling the hotel directly through multiple methods and the phone didn’t ring/they didn’t answer. Expedia couldn’t reach them for over two hours, time I spent standing outside with no way to check in since there’s no front desk. Ended up following someone inside and found my key. Then Expedia said they got a hold of the hotel and the hotel doesn’t have my reservation, which obviously wasn’t true since I found my key with my name on my envelope. Expedia profusely apologized and the hotel then texted me from the same number that would not answer the call. Hotel said Expedia only recently called them but Expedia had been calling for hours. Once finally checked in the hotel was fine. Maybe book directly with the hotel and not through Expedia, although I’m not sure why I never got the access code to the building.
