The representative at the front desk was very kind and professional, but unfortunately, the hotel itself was extremely disappointing. The property was filthy, run-down, and had an overwhelming odor that varied from animal waste to marijuana to just general funk. It was honestly one of the dirtiest places I’ve ever stayed.
The bed didn’t even have a proper box spring — just a mattress placed on a low platform with only three pillows. Nothing in the hotel felt clean or well-maintained. The gym area was cluttered and grimy, and my room looked and felt like something out of a rundown motel, not a proper hotel.
The only reason I didn’t leave was because every other place in town was fully booked due to the Tarrytown Halloween Parade. Otherwise, I would have checked out immediately. Outside, there was a pile of dog waste near the parking area that sat there untouched for all three days of my stay. The same unpleasant smell in the elevator when I arrived was still there when I left — no sign of cleaning or upkeep.
Overall, the place was not just old and neglected, but completely unkempt. It felt more like a long-term housing facility than a hotel for travelers. I would never return — it was honestly that bad.
