My husband and I stayed at Secrets Riviera Cancún All Preferred - Adults Only - All Inclusive, and overall, it was a wonderful experience.
The resort itself is beautiful and very well maintained. I loved the different vibes of the pools — we started at the quiet pool, ended up at the lively pool on Saturday during the all-day party (SO much fun), and then enjoyed the middle pool on Sunday for the football games. The food was decent, though I’ll admit we didn’t fully explore all of the dining options available.
Our room was romantic and comfortable — I never wanted to get out of the shower! We also had a hot tub on our balcony, which unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to use because we spent most of our time relaxing at the pools. We also took full advantage of the spa, which was an excellent experience.
The only real negative of our trip was the “resort tour” they promote. It’s positioned as a quick, no-obligation, two-hour experience where you get to see one of their new properties and receive resort credits. Since it was a rainy day, we figured why not. The property we visited, Secrets Moxché, was stunning and honestly blew me away. But the experience quickly shifted into a hard sales pitch. Despite making it clear we weren’t interested in purchasing, we were passed from one rep to another, each offering new “deals.” What was supposed to be two hours dragged into nearly five.
