Expensive disappointment
After booking the room, we tried for 2 weeks to book a spa day for when we were there (approx 10 phone calls, 3 emails, a Facebook message and an instagram message) only to finally be told a few days before we arrived that they’ve sold out.
Booked a meal for 7:30 and although the restaurant was almost empty, we waited an hour for our food to arrive.
When it arrived, my medium rare steak was cold to the touch and dry/ chewy.
Wendy’s steak was chewy, just warm and had a second, thin slice of steak which had the consistency of shoe leather. We only ate the food because we were so hungry after a day of walking and there was no alternative option to eat.
2 steak meals and a bottle of wine for £70(ish) and I’ve had better food at Wetherspoons !
In our room, one lampshade was broken, the shower curtain didn’t fit the bath and both taps leaked. For just under £140 a night I expected more.
Very disappointed.
