Serviceable stAY
I was looking for an inexpensive place to spend the night while visiting family (a 99th birthday party) and doing some exploring. The hotel is showing it's age, but it wasn't gross. I did have an issue with my ground floor window not locking, but it was taken care of on a Sunday with limited staff. It was pretty quiet while I was there, the staff was friendly enough.
I did notice a strong smell of perfume in the room after the window was fixed, and since I am allergic, I ironically opened the window for a bit! It was also nicely located between my two destinations, Santa Fe and Los Alamos.
If my finances don't improve, I would stay here again, but if I could afford a more higher end hotel, I would do that too.
There is no breakfast, but a coffee bar that sometimes had the NM Pinon Coffee (a treat for this out of towner). The vending machine on the first floor was well stocked with some healthier choices, snacks for sale at the front desk, casino restaurant across the street/parking lot (I didn't go!).
Funny thing, the On Demand movies were all $20.99! I guess they wanted us gambling.
Oh, I did also appreciate the art in the lobby. Did not seek out any other amenities.
