Our stay at this hotel turned into a deeply distressing and dehumanizing experience. My wife, who lives with a diagnosed psychological disorder, was treated with callousness and discrimination rather than care and compassion. While we initially received an offer for an extra night to help navigate her crisis safely, that offer was cruelly rescinded when she began experiencing an episode—precisely the moment when support was most needed.
Instead of kindness, the management and front desk responded with hostility. The housekeeping manager went further, making derogatory remarks about “Blacks,” which added racial discrimination to an already harrowing ordeal. At a time when we were seeking stability, we were met with judgment, fear-mongering, and disrespect.
This hotel is in urgent need of staff training around disability awareness, mental health crisis response, and cultural sensitivity. No family should have to choose between dignity and a roof over their heads. What happened here was not just poor hospitality—it was a failure of humanity.
