The staff at Hotel Pula are incredible. They answered any questions we had and took care of anything we needed right away. That was the highlight of the hotel.
I read reviews that the hotel was in need of a remodel, but hoped that it had been completed, since the reviews were 2-3 years old. There were no upgrades, no remodel, nothing. I was quite disappointed with the condition of the room. The air conditioning was awful, the drapes did not keep the heat nor the bright sun out of the room, the glass in the windows looked as though it was about to fall out and the mattresses are thin, stained and hard.
I generally try to focus on the positives when I visit a hotel, but it was very difficult with this particular hotel. This hotel is very close to a small beach, so that was nice. So close, in fact, that you can walk right down to the beach within 2-3 minutes. There is a small pool in the hotel, but it also seems to be in need of an upgrade.
The staff at the dining room, the bars and everywhere else in the hotel really were spectacular and certainly deserve appreciation. However, when I return to Pula, I will find a different location to stay at.
