While the Hilton East Midlands Airport is clean, it falls short of what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. Several issues impacted the overall experience:
Room Amenities: No fridge in the room, which is unusual for a hotel of this caliber. The lack of a toilet brush is also inconvenient.
Wellness Facilities: The sauna was not working, and the gym setup was awkward, with the need to wear shoe covers to access different areas. The pool was a bit cold, but at least the Jacuzzi was functional.
Service: Receptionists didn't inform us about bringing a coin (£1) for the pool locker, something that most hotels would mention during check-in.
Family-Friendliness: There was no additional lounge area for children, which made it difficult to keep them entertained.
Food & Beverage: The breakfast was disappointing, with very limited choices compared to other hotels you've stayed at.
Parking: The parking fees were high, adding to the overall dissatisfaction.
In summary, while the hotel was clean, it didn't meet the standards expected of a 4-star rating, and some 2-3 star hotels offer better amenities and service.
