Bad-smelling rooms, completely different from the
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The carpet is extremely old, poorly maintained, and has a terrible smell. The room had a strong smell of a disinfectant product—it smelled very much like vinegar—and I had to keep the windows open just to make the air breathable. It was overpowering and awful.
At first, they placed me in a room that looked nothing like the photos, located on the first floor. It was horrible, with extremely old furniture and, of course, the same horrible-smelling carpet. On top of that, everyone outside could see everything inside through the window—zero privacy. To have some privacy, I had to keep the curtains closed, which left me stuck in a dark and smelly room.
When I complained, they claimed there were no other rooms available that night—even though I could see on Hotels.com that there were. They only moved me the next day to a slightly better room, but it still had the same ancient, horrible-smelling carpet. There was also a lot of noise in the bedroom, making it difficult to sleep.
Most of the receptionists (except for an older gentleman with glasses and a scarf) were incredibly rude and unprofessional.
Staying at this hotel ruined a significant part of my trip to Paris. I would absolutely not recommend it.
