The location of Mitos Apartments is a blessing and a curse at the same time. It is centrally located, right in front of the canal and just minutes from the beach. On the other hand, it is also located next to a dance club with obnoxious music volume that goes well into the early hours of the morning. No unit in Mitos - even the ones on the far side of the property furthest away from the music source - is safe.
The property is generally clean and well-kept, though it does show its age in certain areas. There is an AC unit only in the bedroom, and it is not powerful enough to cool the entire apartment. Amenities were limited (we were provided just one tiny bottle of shampoo and one small soap for a family). The property has a nice pool but closes around 6 PM (why?), and has a nice shaded bar / restaurant area that serves Italian fare. The food is hit and miss. Some dishes are done very well, others not so much. (But, if you have come all the way to Turkey, why bother with Italian food). Unfortunately, most of the restaurants cater to British tourists and offer lack-luster, uninspired and unpalatable dishes that are not representative of the otherwise excellent Turkish cuisine.
