I have stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world, so it is rare that I gush about a stay, but this is one time I will. The Glidden House is so well curated to the tiniest detail. Situated amid a college campus, it is surrounded by museums and in close proximity to Little Italy with fabulous restaurants. Step through the front door to be greeted with music of times gone by, and a signature fragrance that wafts throughout. The front desk clerk was very attentive, pleasant and helpful. The hotel is well lit, and beside each door is a shelf to lay your hand helds to ease opening your door. Each shelf has a lovely art print hung above it. The rooms are spacious with plentiful lighting. The window shades are electronic and very cleverly designed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There is a spacious desk and comfortable rolling chair for workers on the road to use. A spacious closet, drawers& a small fridge. The bathroom had plentiful towels and was squeaky clean. On the bathroom counter is a rubber duck with a note to take him with you to take photos with him on your travels- such a cute detail. Finally, the best for last. They had the most amazing free breakfast. Perfectly cooked eggs, sausage, and home fried potatoes, Belgian waffles, scones, buns, breads of all type, yogurt, fresh fruit & oatmeal, Coffee, juices, & a variety of teas in silk bags for steeping. I loved my stay, and recommend the Glidden House to anyone with an appreciation of luxurious times gone by
