The positive: the staff was SO friendly! We felt very welcome, and they were always smiling. The high floor suite was very spacious and our beds were comfortable. They gave us a roll away bed so my kids didn’t have to share the pullout couch, and that was awesome. Air conditioner worked great, and our room was nice and cool in the night.
The negatives: There were a lot of homeless people lurking around the parking lot. They had locked the doors during the happy hour (I guess to keep out the lurkers outside?), but my husband had a hard time finding a way in to check in, and he was harassed by a man outside who was trying to follow him into the building. There was also A LOT of street noise at night. Revving engines, sirens, etc… good thing I had some ear plugs! The gas station across the street was $1 more expensive than all the gas stations in the area… don’t get gas there! The breakfast was ok, but they didn’t replenish things very fast and it was gone so fast every time they refilled it because everyone was waiting for food. They never filled the muffins back up. Also the bathroom floor had no mats so it was VERY slipper when wet, but sticky when dry.
If it were just the staff and the room size, we would come back, but the location made us feel a little unsafe.
