I’ve stayed in Holiday Inn Express locations before but this one was sad. I arrived at midnight and the front desk clerk was friendly and efficient. I asked for a couple extra pillows for my back and was told they were out, but he’d have housekeeping bring some the next day. The lobby and one functioning elevator had dirty floors.
The room was clean, but worn with patched ceiling, torn shower curtain, stained towels, and uncooperative AC.
Post-pandemic, I know many hotels don’t provide daily maid service unless requested, but I’m also used to seeing signs for such. Not the case here. Second day, no extra pillows, so I requested that evening again and was told they don’t keep extra pillows at all.
Given the number of other hotels in the immediate area in the same price range, I’ll stay elsewhere next time.
