The hotel 'served its purpose'. On the positive, my flight to Melbourne was severely delayed and I was able to check in after midnight. The room was large but average. The location is great because it is close to the airport, restaurants, shopping, city center. Travellers should be aware that there is no room service or daily housekeeping; no cutlery or dishes in the room. But you can ask for these things. I was surprised that a female solo traveler would be placed in a room on the ground floor next to the back parking lot (next to trees); it was not a secure feeling. Not much soundproofing - loud noises from guests in the hallway and outside in the parking lot. I advised that my checkout would be early because I had a 6am flight. I was told that if there was no one at the desk, I could ring the bell as someone "was always there". I rang the bell 4 times and no one responded. After 20 minutes I left the keep on the desk and headed to the airport. I would have expected automated checkout of some sort if you couldn't rely on the desk being manned 24 hours. Also, I had paid in full on checkin. A key dropbox would have sufficed. It is fine for my short trip but I would have chosen another place if I was staying longer.
