They were trying to get me to Check into the hotel or cancel the reservation without seeing if my room had light or AC because they had a power outage. It was already almost 10 o'clock at night. All I wanted to do was check to see if the AC was running or not Because, hey it's Texas. They couldn't tell which rooms were affected or not, So all I wanted to do was check before checking in and being charged. Though, I was able to go check, After a bit of back-and-forth And having to point out several times that I was with a small child, The experience over all just left a bad taste in my mouth. I pointed out that this was not my fault that they had a power outage and the reply was it's not our fault either. Well your hotel and business was the only one in that area that had a power outage so clearly there was something going on with your building and generators etc,. Whether it was faulty wiring, backup generator failed or somebody overlooked something, It's still your responsibility to make sure that customers are alerted or at least given an option TO GO CHECK, Not the only option you have is to cancel or Check-in And gamble whether I was gonna have AC or not. Like I said I was able to take a look in the end, but That's no way to treat any customer.
