The whole place seemed to suffer from deferred maintenance.
Room was dirty and dusty, bed frame was broken and sticking out and a trip/ankle hazard, windows were cloudy, curtains wouldn't stay shut, drywall had lots of damage, there 3 bugs that I saw, the towels were dingy feeling with a yellow tint(suppoed to be white). My bed had someone else's hairs in it, what appeared to be lingering blood stains the wash didnt remove, and a melted? spot that looked dirty. The biggest problem was the door wouldn't latch shut from the outside and could only be locked from the inside. We didn't realize this until the morning having slept with a door that appeared to latch but could just be pushed in with moderate force. Breakfast was minimal, nothing hot, just the cheapest danishes, yogurt, and a sad looking fruit bowl. Parking lot was beyond tight.
Having no elevator was the cherry on top.
This is a 5 out of 10 hotel MAX, I don't understand how it is rated a 8.2 on hotels(they proudly displayed the 8.2 in their lobby), perhaps legacy reviews from 10 years ago when they last remodeled, if so it has gone WAY downhill.
They need to pick a room or two every day and do a deep dive cleaning it. Then let a handyman loose, focusing on one room at a time to fix the poor condition of everything.
3 good things: friendly desk staff, good water pressure, and hot water at 8am.
I cant upload the pictures I took.
