My flight was supposed to arrive at O'Hare right at 9:00 PM, but due to weather related incidents in Chicagoland, we didn't land until 11:30 PM. While we were stuck waiting for refuel in Detroit, I called the hotel since I noticed in the hotel policy information that the front desk closes at 10:00 PM. The hotel agent informed me that as long as I made it to the hotel before 2:00 AM that I could check-in. I make it to the hotel around 12:30 AM after a mixup with my car reservation at Avis and I had to wait for the very slow moving front desk staff member. Check-in for me wasn't that bad.
The room itself was spacious as I opted for a king bed and the bed was honestly comfortable. You can tell the appliances are quite old and seem moments from just dying a painful death. The refrigerator was somewhat loud and I didn't use the stove or microwave. In the past Extended Stay America hotels I've stayed at, there are normally utensils in the room, but not this one, which was somewhat irritating.
The hotel did have two vending machines and the drink vending machine did not accept cards as it was supposed to have.
Overall, it was a decent stay. Others that attempted to check in after me did not have a pleasant check in experience.
