it was cheaper than the surrounding hotels, and sounded good.
The checkin process was confusing, I went first to the (right-most) wrong lobby, they sent me to another (middle) wrong lobby, then they said "go to the residences lobby" all the way to the left. Nobody was there, back to the middle (viceroy) lobby where they said "oh that happens sometimes, we'll get your key' - they handed me my key and I was on my way.
The elevators were crappy and sometimes dropped me at the wrong floor, another ThyssenKrupp failure; the door lock was finicky, but what a beautiful room! Totally worthwhile.
Nobody gave me a wifi password, so I reset the router myself (sorry next guest, hope you're technically savvy)
What a view!!! What a property!
Plus what would a Miami hotel be wtihout a little blood splatter on the ceiling of the bathroom? Kind of funny, it was so clean otherwise. (don't take this to mean that the rest of the review is sarcastic, it seriously was nice)
I had my business calls on the balcony, looking out at the ocean. You can't beat that.
The people I was visiting in Miami were complaining about their hotel, they paid twice as much, and my place was twice as nice. I'd do it again, but you have to know what you're getting. It's NOT A HOTEL. It's a condo, and it's comfortable and fantastic.
