Check-in disappointment
I arrived for check-in at 5:30 pm. At check-in, I was informed that in spite of my confirmation email, which clearly stated I had reserved a room with a King sized bed, that i would be receiving a room with 2 Queen beds instead. When I inquired about why, after verifying my reservation confirmation as asked, I was told that they must have over booked and they had no King Rooms available.
How is this MY problem?? I reserved the room, I had the confirmation email for said reservation and still I got nowhere. The snooty female clerk said it simply wasn't her fault and there was NOTHING (<-- said in all caps) that she could do about it, and simply moved on the next person in line. Not only was I not given any compensation for my trouble, I never ever even received so much as an "I'm sorry that this has happened...." That's what is most disappointing of all. I will not stay at a Fairfield ever again if I have anything to say about it, certainly NOT at the Fairfield in Aberdeen, SD!!
