I am writing to share feedback from our recent stay at the White Horse, Dorking. While there were aspects we enjoyed, certain elements of our experience did not meet our expectations.
To begin on a positive note, we were truly impressed by the room itself. It was beautifully designed, comfortable, and added a sense of luxury to our stay.
However, we encountered some disappointments with the dining services. The breakfast service was terribly slow; we waited a significant amount of time to be acknowledged to be seated then a further 15 minutes before our order was taken. It took 25 minutes to be served our drinks, which was just juice, and our meal was finally served 45 minutes later. When breakfast was served, one of the items was wrong but the response was that it would take another 20 minutes to replace which made us feel like an inconvenience to them. There was no communication from staff that service would take so long and overall it impacted our morning plans.
Additionally, during dinner service the evening before, the one menu item my wife and I were both looking forward to was unavailable, however we weren’t told this until we tried to order. When ordering dessert we were then declined one of our choices again due to lack of availability.
We believe these are areas for potential improvement, and I wanted to share this in hopes of enhancing the experience for future guests.
