I booked a stay at The Sweet Corn on Nusa Penida from July 19, 2024, to July 21, 2024. Upon arrival, I found the place completely deserted. I sent a message to the owner and called the number provided with the reservation but received no response. There was no one around the property either.
The next day, I contacted Expedia and was given another number for the owner. After some messaging, the owner only responded with "It is your fault" and "You are not getting your money back." I showed a photo of the property to prove I was there and provided screenshots of the message I sent and the call I made to the number listed in the reservation details. It turned out it was an old number. Despite this, the owner repeated, "It is your fault" and "You are not getting your money back."
The owner later stated that I could still come, but by then, I had already incurred additional costs.
