I cannot stress how much I recommend this hotel enough; the entire experience was absolutely incredible. The owner, Kosuke, was so cool, accommodating, and sweet. Before we arrived, he called me on the phone to try and get my estimated time of arrival so he could pick us up from the train station. He did us the favor of stopping at a convenience store so that we could get everything we needed before going to the hotel itself. Once we were in, he really made the effort to connect with us and even offered us a half-day tour before we left the following day free of charge. He took us to a gorgeous cafe for breakfast with an amazing view and to a variety of temples and a shrine. We had mentioned to him that we wanted to get some souvenirs while we we were in his car, so he incorporated that into the tour. To top it all off, he even took the extra effort to plan our route to Tokyo for us. This is not even mentioning the quality of the rooms and space itself, each room had its own AC system, comfortable beds, and was spacious. We had access to a fully outfitted kitchen in case we wanted to cook and had access to not one, but two bathing areas (one Western the other Japanese). The bathtub in the Japanese bathing area was really nice, it had a control panel that let you choose what temperature you wanted the water to be, how much water you wanted in the tub, and also had a reheating option to maintain the temperature that was set. We also had access to laundry and bicycles.
