I will try to give a review of what was good and what was not good.
On the good side
- The location was good, not too far from the central part of the city and the tourist attractions
- The rooms were ok in size, a bit on the smaller side but we didnt spend much time in the rooms so not a big deal, and the bathroom was big.
-Things were well taken care of and not much wear and tear around the room
-the rooms and sheets were clean
-the breakfast was reasonable for a 4 star hotel and the breakfast restaurant was large and spacious
-the customer facing staff were very friendly and spoke good english, which is not the norm in madrid as we discovered
on the not so good side
- If you are a light sleeper then you will have an issue, the hotel is on a busy road, cars and buses are constantly driving by and the windows are not suitable for such a location, i asked for a different room further down the side ally, yet the noise was still too loud
- The cleaning lady was cleaning the rooms while having a full on cold/flu, literally wiping surfaces and coughing on them at the same time. Its simple basic hygiene really.
- There is a cooler in the rooms, not really a fridge, fyi
