Friendly welcome; clean room. But be warned, this is a 'B', not a B&B in the traditional sense. If you want breakfast you have to book it, at additional cost. The landlady kindly offered to provide me with toast & even offered to go out & buy some cereal (which i said was not necessary). I accepted the offer of toast.
I wasn't shown any other area of the B and i never saw the toast, or the landlady again - except for bumping into her the next morning out walking her dog whilst. There was no mention of toast.
The room, though clean, fronted the house which is on a very noisy road & there's a bust stop right out front at which people seem to gather at odd hours for loud conversations - not her fault/responsibility obviously but didn't make for a good night's sleep.
The bathroom, though clean, is minute so if you're larger than a size 14, you might struggle.
I recognise that we're in hard times but for me that means do better if you want the business - provide me with a reason for recommending you. Don't hand over a doorkey and then not check in with your guest to ensure all is well at any time at all over a 3 night stay and don't offer toast if you don't plan to be around to provide it.
