Don’t book if you have kids!!!!!!
The agent that checked me in was very disrespectful and seemed racist. He was upset that I had booked a King bedroom for myself and my 3 little children who were with me, which was an honest mistake not informing them that the room would be for Myself and 3 kids… as a single mom, I did assume that would not be a big deal… but when the agent realized I had my children with me… he immediately called me in my room and began to speak to me in a very demeaning tone… He told me I booked without informing them I had 3kids who would be with me, which was true… however, when I realized what I had done, I asked him what he wanted me to do and he did say we could stay, but then proceeded to scold me and say I better make sure they don’t leave any stains on anything… To be honest, I felt like I was being profiled… single black mom with 3 kids, she won’t be able to keep them from making a mess…The way that man spoke to me had me scared and hurt and uncomfortable. I immediately wanted to leave but because we had travelled 4.5hours from Cleveland to Michigan for the Puma sponsored basketball my eldest son was playing in. We were tired and I was overwhelmed and overstimulated already to say the least, only to be reminded that I just may not be a good enough mom. I say I hope that never happens to anyone let alone someone who is battling with anxiety depression and self esteem issues. I ended up checking out the next morning cutting my 2 night reservation short and booked at Best Western
