The hotel is beautiful! The private beach has breathtaking views and the staff are all friendly, polite and helpful. The drinks were good. However, I was extremely disappointed with several things:
1. Slow service, upon arrival I was informed that my room wasn’t ready and that I would have to wait to be taken to it (not a great start to a trip after a 4 1/2 plane ride). Also, there was always a wait to be seated in the dining area for buffet food and whenever I called for service to the room (I.e. room service/hospitality) it was always a long wait to receive my items.
2. Poor food options, upon receiving room service (over 1 hour after placing the order), the food wasn’t hot and the food was overcooked. They don’t provide many options for people who are pescatarian and or don’t eat beef or pork and the food lacks flavor (everything was bland).
3. Poor performance, overall I never had housekeeping provide service to the room except for one day (out of four nights) they didn’t throw out our garbage we had to ask them to remove it when leaving things outside the door to be picked up. They weren’t for a long period of time. They didn’t provide washcloths (for washing) and when asked, I was informed that they were “cleaning them” so we had to bathe ourselves with towels instead, when requesting an iron, they provided that but didn’t have a board to use with it and they never followed up with assisting us with our luggage upon checking out, we had to inquire with them.
