I have stayed in this hotel twice since I just like the location. It is far from Ikebukuro station but I don't mind walking. And this hotel connects to Sunshine city so you will be close to everything you need and convenient if you don't take train so much.
However, the biggest problem this hotel has is its AC system.
It says they have AC, but you don't get access to control it and cannot change the room temperature since their AC system is an old central AC.
My first time staying at this hotel was in February, 2020.(Could be January)
Winter in Tokyo is very cold but I was hot when I was in the hotel room. And I am a really cold person. Then when we asked the front to change the temperature, they said they lowered it but we were still hot so they ended up bringing a fan in our hotel room. Well, a fan spinning in a heated room in Winter...
So if you are a hot person, this hotel would be really uncomfortable. My husband was sweating and really upset. He won't stay at this hotel in the future anymore.
This my second time stay, November, 2025, he didn't go to Japan with me so I stayed in this hotel again. I assumed the hotel room would be hot and I was right. Well, maybe I was forgetting how uncomfortable it was last time so it was hotter than I was expecting in the room. Again, I am a cold person. I am always cold.
