Sante Fe Family Road Trip
We booked two nights here during a family road trip. This was a little higher priced than others in the area, but had an indoor pool and two hot tubs. Once we checked in, we found that the property is actually several different buildings, so you have to walk out side to get to the pool building, the front office, or the restaurant. The walks appeared to be covered by a roof, but no walls. It also looks like renovations are im underway sort of. There were building materials around but no one working. Long story short, we braved the cold and ran for the pool only to find it out of service. Our card still opened the door so we went in to warm up for a second. The pool water was clean and warm, both hot tubs were hot. I went to the front desk and inquired on the status of the pool. I was told the city of Sante Fe required them to shut down the pool and drain the lines because of cold outside temps. I know things happen and pools are sometimes unavailable, but this seems like an unlikely story. The room was clean. My only complaint with the room was the paint; I know that sounds petty, but it looked and felt like a rental house with ten layers of paint trying to “renovate” and freshen up the rooms. Again, it was clean but I just expected more for the price. I got 2 star vibes from the place claiming3-4 stars. If you are going to take short cuts on renovations and have non functioning equipment, price your rooms accordingly.
