I have probably stayed at hundreds of resorts, hotels or motels over the years, all over the US. This is the first time I've ever even been inclined to leave a review, positive or not. I planned a one night stay to celebrate my son's 13th bday, short notice. To swim in November in Michigan is rare. To have even an indoor pool be warm in winter months is more rare. To spend less than $85 per night for the stay, even more. I came 30 minutes early and was able to check in, no issues. Staff was super friendly and talkative. The lobby, pool and bar area super cozy and decorated for the small town lodge feel, which I love when visiting "Up North" MI. The hallways clean and smelled nice. The room, perfection. Clean, spacious, zero concerns of odor or germs. Quick trip across the street to the dollar store for snacks and drinks, several pizza places that deliver right near. The Michigan shaped pool was a hit with my boys, and it was WARM. Like, mom even got in to swim, warm. Beds were clean, comfortable, down pillows and comforter. Quiet place to stay even the night before opening day of Rifle Season in MI, several hunters stayed here as well. A nice dark room, even into late morning while my pre-teens slept in. Free coffee in the lobby and just an overall excellent small town experience. Would most definitley stay again when visiting from FL, to my home state!
