The gal who checked me in was great. However, I go to the hotel room and it’s a mess— never cleaned. Weird plastic bag on the bed, used towels in the bathroom, beds are a mess. Trash left. I call to tell them. They move me to another room, but it’s a king. I placed my reservation for two queen beds. I called again. I was informed there was otherwise another room available that had two full beds with a kind of working air conditioner. “I could see if we could bring up a fan for you if you’d like?” I offered the option of, if possible, having the room I was originally assigned cleaned? It was a great idea and it took about 40-60 minutes. Then a loud knock on the door as I sat waiting, and a guy gives me hotel keys to the previously assigned room. Not sure why he had to knock so loudly at 11:15 PM? (I checked in around 9ish PM).
The room was very nicely cleaned. But I noticed dried dripping rust from one of the sheets of wallpaper, bubbling wallpaper, immense dust clumps in the vents, and the door wasn’t completely protected below— a nice gap to the outside. What? Also, the room they were to have me in (the king bed) before had a stick floor with large boot prints, and the toilet seat was sticky with spots all over.
May I suggest perhaps doing a thorough cleaning of the air ducts to avoid a potential lawsuit for black and white mold toxicity exposure?
