We stayed at this property for 2 nights in June in a dog friendly room. ***If you book this hotel through Expedia or 3rd party booking service, please read.*** The walls are thin, small rooms, carpets dirty, and there is no fan in the bathroom to help minimize the noise. The sound from people walking by made our dog growl or bark all night. We travel with our dog a lot, this is the first time we have had this issue.
We explained this to Expedia and the front desk as we wanted to check out a day early. The front desk told us it was Expedia’s decision to refund us the last night, this is NOT true. The hotel MUST approve the cancellation.
They lied to us repeatedly about this being a hotel decision. They also told Expedia I was a no-show (??) and denied even speaking to Expedia.
I eventually spoke to Casey who was the MOD and couple times to explain my experience. She was extremely nice and said “no problem, I’ll just check you out”. I obviously believed this entire situation was resolved & left.
The next day, I received an email from Expedia saying that the hotel did not authorize the refund. I called Casey, she said “I said I would check you out, I never said I would refund you. The GM refused your refund.” What?!
** Please know: This hotel WILL NOT accommodate changes to any bookings made through Expedia or any Other third-party website.
** Book the Hilton Wilsonville. A night and day difference.
