A wonderful breakfast was served, with tea, bread with three kinds of home-made jams, honey, two kinds of cheese, egg, tomato and cucumber. Delicious! This is a very special place. It began as a school for Greek children in 1855 and probably feel into disrepair when all the Greeks were moved back to Greece in 1923. But it has been beautifully renovated, and the rooms have high ceilings and well-appointed bathrooms. Dinner is served on a lovely courtyard with cool breezes and a view of Bergama. It’s walking distance to the center of Bergama as well as the Acropolis, which is not to be missed!
