An unfortunate management failure
I hate to give just one star, but our night was awful. A group came into the hotel (at 11:30pm per the desk clerk the next morning) and began to terrorize the hotel. There were two motor coaches of them. They were very drunk, very loud (shouting to each other down long, guest room hallways at midnight, 1am, 2am, 2:45am, and 4am. They were smoking marijuana, they reportedly stole from the hotel convenience snack area, and they tried to party in the hotel lobby overnight which is prohibited. My wife and I received very little of what was much needed sleep as we were in town caring for my hospitalized mother-in-law. I am giving one star to this clean, comfortable, well equipped, well placed, and affordable hotel for only one reason: the staff utterly failed to manage the situation. Given the group’s behavior and the fact that problems persisted throughout the entire night, the authorities should have been engaged to bring the situation under control. From my perspective, they dropped the ball this time. It was truly disappointing, and there was not even any type of consideration offered by way of compensation for our bad experience.
