Close to Disneyland but hotel didnt feel secure.
So my partner and i needed a hotel close to Disneyland and Brookhurst was decently priced and had a fair review. Upon arrival the front desk staff was very nice. Once we received our keys and went up to the room we noticed the elevator appeared almost broken and unserviced. It jaulted when it stopped and the emergency tabs and call box were ripped out of the wall (very concerning). We also noticed ANYONE can just walk into the hotel with NO KEY. The side gate that "required a key" didnt need one and jump opened for ANYONE. This immediately made us feel unsafe. The pool key guard was the same exact way and then cops patrolling the hotel. Also there were a group of random children running around playing through the broken door which was pretty odd and the outlets in our room were popped out of the wall, the toilet paper dispenser appear to almost just come off the wall and the bath spout looked as if it was kicked sideways. It felt kind of creepy and unwelcoming. We will not be staying here again.
