I was booked for a standard king room, but when I got there, they had me in a room with 2 doubles. I'm very tall, which is why I always get a king bed. I went to the check in desk to tell them of the mistake and they told me thru had no king rooms left. My reservation had been made several days earlier and at no time did anyone try to contact me to tell me of the change. If they had, I would have booked elsewhere. Their solution was to comp my parking. I wasn't happy, but I conceded. I asked to get something in writing stating I wouldn't be charged for parking. They refused. I asked to see a manager and they said there wasn't one there. Almost 2 hours later after speaking to Hotels.com they agreed to switch my room to a king, but needed half an hour to get it ready. So, they obviously lied about not having the room. By the time they agreed to switch it for me, it was too late. I had an event I was in Atlanta to attend, which I had to get ready and leave for. ( which I had told the Hotels.com associate, but he didn't listen) Horrible experience. Doubtful that I'll ever stay at an Hyatt property again.
