I recently stayed at this hotel for 9 nights during a business trip to London. Having stayed here several years ago, I noticed that while a few things had changed, it wasn’t too bad. The reception and other staff are still incredibly helpful and accommodating, which made my stay pleasant.
The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options, though it seems more catered to short-term guests, which is understandable for an airport hotel. However, it would be nice if they varied the menu more frequently, perhaps daily or every other day. Additionally, offering more kosher or halal options and reducing the focus on pork and bacon would be appreciated.
A few areas could use some improvement, such as the outdated and sometimes malfunctioning electrical outlets. The cable TV had numerous channels that weren't working, which was a bit frustrating. Also, the airport shuttle service that used to stop directly at the hotel is no longer available, but fortunately, public transportation to the airport and the nearest London Underground station is convenient and reliable.
Overall, I can't complain. Life isn't perfect, and I still have many fond memories of this hotel from previous stays.
