This hotel is in a quiet safe neighborhood. So if you’re looking for easy access to restaurants or other amenities, this isn’t the place for you. We like quiet and we traveled with a car so it worked for us. The property is clean and quaint with a cute garden out back and our room had enough beds for 3 adults, which was perfect for our family.
On the downside, when we arrived at 6pm on a Tuesday, the front door was locked. Not a soul around even though the front desk hours said 5-9pm. There was a sign on the door (in German of course) stating to call the number to get a code to open the key lock box. This won’t be a problem for locals, however, being from out of the country, it took us some time to figure out how to call a German number and also translate the sign. This would have been a lot easier if we would have been informed ahead of time of these special instructions.
We are now ready to check out in the morning and have yet to see any staff. That’s just weird to me.
There appears to be a breakfast area, but no breakfast anywhere. The information on my Expedia accommodation details says breakfast is available.
This place ended up working out for us for one night, but I won’t recommend it based on the difficulty of checking in and lack of communication/information.
