The beds were very comfortable, and the space was definitely instagrammable, however, there were a few things that left something to be desired. When we first arrived, there was a loose dog, that wasn't dealt with until we brought it to the attention of the staff. There are no ice machines on the property, and no ice cube trays in the kitchen freezer. This created a problem for me, when I needed ice in order to give myself a shot that I take. This could be an issue too if you are using this hotel as a staging ground for a big hike. Ice is a good thing to have if you're sore from a hike. It feels like the amenities are cute to have for Instagram (fun hammock, Yeti cooler) but not necessarily for practicality (no blow dryer, no iron). It wasnt the worst place I've ever stayed, but it feels like they need to adjust to accomodate a wider variety of travelers. It feels more like an Airbnb for hikers and less like an actual lodge.
