Soi Bar Solo follows the pattern set by the other major nightlife hubs in Chaweng of being named after the biggest and most renowned club, which usually marks one end of the street. In this case, it's Bar Solo, which is at the Chaweng Beach Road end of this 100-metre-long alley. Chaweng Stadium Event Center, at the other end, is also a big draw (particularly on a fight night) and results in the place sometimes being called Soi Chaweng Stadium Event Center.
Despite its small size, Soi Bar Solo has quite an impressive choice of very laidback bars, almost all of which have an LGBTQ+ clientele – a fact made all the more self-evident by the rainbow flags and names like Pride Bar. There is also a limited choice of clubs, massage bars and restaurants, while 2 main transgender cabaret shows in Chaweng are in adjoining streets.

Chaweng Stadium is a modern Muay Thai boxing stadium in Chaweng. It hosts regular major events with local and foreign fighters, though it’s not all about fighting here. The Events Center hosts special party nights (usually starting at 10 pm) with DJs and live performers.
Entry for these events is usually free before midnight and a few hundred baht after. Ticket prices for fights vary depending on the event and where you want to sit.

Jimi Hendrix Bar

Jimi Hendrix Bar is famous for its old-school rock and indie music, naturally including the unique musical stylings of its namesake guitarist. Even after its relocation to Soi Bar Solo, it has retained its great reputation and great music.
The bar has top-notch service and a friendly atmosphere. It's nearly impossible to miss, being among the largest of the street’s bars with a rustic look, a neon sign and huge portraits of the rock legend along the front.

K-Club is a combined gay bar, disco and massage parlour located towards the bottom end of Soi Bar Solo. The place makes up for its small size with enthusiastic service and red-carpet treatment for all.
The Together Massage & Spa – effectively part of the club – opens at 2 pm. The partying starts around 11 pm. K-club has a lively atmosphere, fun cabaret performances and reasonable prices for classic cocktails. This is a popular bar for the LGBTQ+ community in Koh Samui.
