    Mercado Centro is one of the most active markets in Acapulco. You can find hundreds of shops and food stalls inside and outside of the market. Vendors range from local artists and florists to food stalls serving traditional dishes. Must-tries include pozole (stew), ceviche, and enchiladas.

    Mercado Central is in central Acapulco, just off Highway 200, making it easy to get to from nearly anywhere in the city. It’s also right on the main bus line. This market gets incredibly busy, so you may want to arrive early in the morning or mid-afternoon to avoid large crowds.

    With so many stores to choose from, you can get almost anything at Galerias Acapulco. These include home goods and luxury clothing to toys and souvenirs. Those travelling by car can get their parking validated by presenting a receipt of purchase before leaving the mall.
