Kedai Kopi Chung Wah is a traditional coffee shop specialising in chicken rice balls, one of Malacca’s most celebrated dishes. It sits in Jonker Walk, directly opposite San Shu Gong at Jalan Hang Jebat.
The eatery embraces the typical Malaysian-style cafe decor – wooden chairs and marble-top tables occupy the floor space, with several hawker stalls selling local dishes. Kedai Kopi Chung Wah is one of the busiest restaurants in Malacca, so it's a good idea to get there early in the day.

Nancy's Kitchen is one of the best places for Nyonya food in Malacca. It has a very homey vibe, so you'll like you've stepped into a friendly neighbour's dining room. Must-tries include the sek bak (braised pork) and sambal sotong petai (sambal squid with bitter beans), served with white rice.
Popiah (spring rolls), pineapple tarts, and Nyonya cendol (green jelly, coconut milk and palm sugar syrup) are also available at Nancy's Kitchen. It's usually packed during lunch hours, so head there early to avoid a long wait.
